How to index a website on google ?
« on: May 28, 2010, 07:37:57 PM »
In past I have seen many website owners who were facing problems in getting their website indexed or crawled by google and they all were asking the same question.

how to index a website on google ?

There are many ways by which you can get your website indexed on google and few people recommend one method over other. We will be discussing three most common ways of getting websites indexed on google.

First way of getting website indexed on google is by simply submitting your website in "Add your URL to Google" form. You can simply enter your website URL in this form along with any comments that you have for your website. In my past experience I have noticed that by using this method google normally indexes a website within a period of 3 to 4 weeks. It has been claimed by many search engine optimizers that if google indexes your website by this method then it takes more hard work to get your website ranked in search engines.

Second way of getting your website indexed on google is by submitting your Web-site's site-map in google webmasters tool. You can simply sign up for "Google webmaster tools" and can submit your web-site's site-maps in your "Site configuration" option in "Google webmaster tools" . In my past experience I have noticed that by using this method google normally indexes a website within a period of 1 to 2 week . This method will only work if you have a site map in your website. This method have been accepted by many search engine optimizers as a good method of indexing your website in google.

Third way of getting website indexed in search engine is by getting quality back-links. This can be easily achieved by article submission or directory submission method. You can simply write an article on any topic related to your website of around 300 words and then you can submit that article to various websites that accept articles. In my past experience I have noticed that by using this method google normally indexes a website within 24 to 48 hours. It has been claimed by many search engine optimizers that this is the best method of submitting website in google and getting websites indexed on google.

Personally I found that third method works like magic.

So, I am sure that these methods will help you in submitting your website in google and getting your website indexed on google.

The most excellent method to do this is to mark excellence content that other bloggers will link as well as to interrelate with other bloggers on their blogs through their comments.

Hi Rockey,
great tips, there is nothing left to add in that but i want to add some points which can help to quick indexing in Google.
1. Get link from the existing website and it should be a good quality website must have Page Rank.
2. Do some bookmarking for your website becasue i observed that it help in indexing but use those websites which are crawled every day by Google like Reddit, Digg, Delicious and Stumleupon.

   Hi,
I have a two-part question about how Google indexes sites:

    1) Is Google supposed to index an entire site at once or does it do so incrementally? My blog (on my own domain) appears to be getting indexed incrementally, to the point where it’s taken a month to index all 30+ of my pages. Most of those pages were present before I manually submitted my URL to Google. I’m wondering if I’m doing something wrong or not doing something I should be doing. Does this have anything to do with my blog being new, or having no external links pointing to it?

    2) Does Google eventually drop noindex and 404 pages? I have archive pages that got indexed but I have since added to them the “noindex” tag. I also deleted an empty category that Google now gets a 404 on. Will Google eventually remove those pages as it re-crawls my site?

I will answer to each question individually.

1) Most of the times Google will index a new website gradually, yes. That is at least what I have observed with most of my websites. The speed at which Google will index all your internal pages will depend on different factors though.

If you get some very trusted and relevant backlinks, and on top of that you also have a very efficient internal link structure, all your internal pages will get indexed fast. If, on the other hand, you have very few backlinks and a poor link structure, it might take a while before you get to see all your pages indexed.

Keep in mind that using the manual URL submission to Google will have a small impact upon the speed and breadth of your indexation. In fact many people recommend that if you want to get a site indexed fast you should NOT use that feature, and rather focus on getting some trusted backlinks to your site.

2) Yes, eventually Google will fix those issues. New sites don’t get crawled very often, so that is certainly the reason. As soon as Google finds out about the “noindex” tag, for example, it will remove those pag

Google has a robot that crawls the web continuously, clicking on links that want to index pages more, and also know what the most popular sites on the net. It is vital to get some quality links from other sites pointing to your site. These sites are obviously already be indexed in the search engine Google. Once you are able to do so, Google will link to your site, know that your site is not already in their search engine and we hope you hint, if you meet a certain amount of quality .

Nearly every one of the times Google will index a new website regularly, yes. That is at least what I have observed with most of my websites. The velocity at which Google will index all your internal pages will depend on poles apart factors though.

There are many ways for you to get your site indexed by Google and some people recommend one method over another. The first way to get your website indexed on Google, just send your "Google Add URL" form. Another way to get your site indexed in Google is to make your Web site to the webmaster of the site map to Google. The third way to get a site indexed by the search engine is to get quality back-links. Personally, I found that the third method works like magic. It 's very useful.
